VACANCY FOR TOWN COUNCILLOR

Church Stretton Town Council has a vacancy for The All Stretton Ward
This vacancy will be filled by co-option by the Town Council at its meeting on 10th May 2016
Qualifying candidates must be 18 years of age or over at the date of nomination, A British or commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a citizen of another member state of the European Community, and either:-
• Registered as a local government elector for the area of the parish; and/or who has
• During the whole of the twelve months preceding nomination occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the parish;

and/or his/her
• Principal or only place of work during those twelve months has been in the parish;
and /or has
• During those 12 months preceding nomination resided in the parish or within 4.8 kilometers of it (and is not disqualified from holding office by reason of any disqualification set out in Section 80 of the Local Government Act 1972)
