Help our Outdoor Team

Do you love the outdoor spaces that our beautiful town has to offer?  Could you help us to keep them special for all visitors?

With over 200 acres to care for, there’s a lot to do.  Our Outdoor Team work really hard to keep the places you love to look their best, but they are a very small team and really need your help.

Could you help us with planting, maintaining and enhancing the planted areas within Sandford Avenue Park, and help us with encouraging wildlife to visit and live within the Park space?  Would you be happy to walk our footpaths reporting back to the team when issues are found, and help them in keeping and enhancing the paths to welcome people of all abilities?  Or would you be interested in helping to conserve and care for our two Local Nature Reserves for future generations?

These are  just some of the ways you could help. There are lots of opportunities available, for people of all ages and abilities.  No matter how small the time you could give we’d love to hear from you.  Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills, whilst caring for a space you love. Full training will be provided.  Please contact us to find out more and get involved.
