Operation of Council services during the Covid-19 emergency
Church Stretton Town Council Office
Our office remains closed to members of the public until further notice. Residents can still contact the Council via telephone on 01694 722113 (with answerphone), by email here. Face to face contact will be by appointment only.
Our buildings, open spaces and those that we operate on behalf of charities
The Silvester Horne Institute and the Russells Meadow Pavilion are now closed. The public toilets remain open, as do the open spaces and facilities at Russell’s Meadow, Richard Robinson Field, All Stretton Play Area and the Town Park (the Rec).
Local Police Inspector Nicola Roberts reinforces the Government advice to stay at home, keep children at home and not to panic buy.
The Market will continue to run, with extra sanitary precautions. Please continue to support local producers, but remember:
QUEUE TWO METRES APART
Carding Mill Valley
The National Trust is closing the Valley car parks from the afternoon of March 24th but residents are still allowed to walk and take dogs there, keeping well apart.
The Council, Mayfair, community services and organisations are working together to expand support systems, which continue to develop. Up to date information can be found on the Town Council website.
Mayfair and the Health & Wellbeing Centre are now closed to the general public but continue with health one-to-one clinics. The outreach support services continue, as does the Mayfair Meals service, delivered by Good Neighbours.
