Community Advice Surgery
For several years, the Police have been holding regular community liaison meetings, known as PACT meetings in a variety of locations. Unfortunately, these have not generally been well attended.
Meet your Councillor and Police
For the time being, the meetings are suspended.
In order to help not only the Police but also Shropshire Council and the Town Council to tune in better to local issues and concerns, these three agencies have agreed, for an experimental six-month period, to hold a monthly combined Community Advice Surgery. At the Surgery, a local Police Officer, a local Shropshire Councillor and a Town Councillor will all give a brief update on current issues and listen to issues being raised by constituents, either in open forum or in separate confidential issues.
These Community Advice Surgeries will take place on the first Tuesday of every month in the Community Room at the Mayfair Health & Wellbeing Centre on Easthope Road. The first such Advice Surgery will held on Tuesday 7th January at 2.00pm. Please come along.
