We are Thrilled...
Olympic archer, Alison Williamson MBE, along with her father Tom and mother Sue officially opened the new Russells Meadow Pavilion on Saturday. Church Stretton Mayor, Councillor Michael Braid said “We are thrilled to have Alison opening this fantastic new facility. The Williamson family have been involved in the promotion of sport in the area for many years and we hope that this new pavilion will significantly contribute to sports development in the Strettons going forward."
Russells Meadow Pavilion is a A Great Setting
“We’re keen that the new facilities are used by the widest range of people possible” said Danny Chetwood, Church Stretton’s newly appointed Town Clerk. “The pavilion is a great setting for children’s birthday parties, meetings by clubs, sporting and otherwise, and a base for special events on Russell’s Meadow, You couldn’t ask for a better setting”.
Not just for Sports
Church Stretton Town Council own and operate Russells Meadow. They designed the pavilion to meet the needs of of those clubs that play at Russell’s Meadow regularly. They are also committed to widening its use.
