Council Meetings

Council and Committee Meetings are normally held on the first floor in the Council Chamber in the Silvester Horne Institute, High Street, Church Stretton which is not accessible to people who are unable to climb stairs.

Agendas and Minutes are available  at the Council Offices where you may obtain Large Print copies. You may download copies using the buttons below. Minutes may be published prior to ratification at our discretion and for your information. These will be marked as 'Draft' on the document. They will be replaced by the ratified version as soon as practicable after the appropriate meeting.

Require an Accessible Meeting Room?

If you require the meeting to be held in an accessible meeting room so that you are able to attend, please let us know at the Town Council Office as soon as possible.

Council Meetings

The Agenda, published 3 days prior to the meeting, shows the date, time (usually 7pm), venue (usually Silvester Horne Institute) and business to be addressed. The Public and Press are welcome to attend. A quarter of an hour at the start of the meeting is for questions and statements from the Public on Agenda Items. Please will you inform the Town Clerk in advance if you wish to make a statement. Public and Press may be excluded when items of a confidential nature are discussed. Confidential Items are typically items that are sensitive for Legal, Commercial, Personal, or Employment reasons.

Committee Meetings

The Agenda, published 3 days prior to the meeting, shows the date, time (usually 7pm), venue (usually Silvester Horne Institute) and business to be addressed. Members of the Public may attend and can contribute when they have information or expertise relevant to the Committee.

The Planning Committee usually meets at 6pm.

Scheduled meetings may be cancelled and additional meetings arranged at short notice if business demands it.
